My name is Cristian Satnic. With over 20 years of experience in information technology I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of roles – from administrator of various systems, networks and databases, software developer, security professional, consultant … all the way to data & cloud architect, IT manager and CTO.
I’ve seen many enterprise IT patterns / technologies come and go (for example – remember how SOAP & XML web services were not too long ago considered the best thing since sliced bread only to be replaced by RESTful APIs & JSON?). Through all these changes one thing remained constant: our growing need to obtain better and faster access to all data we generate. Somebody wisely observed that most line of business applications are nothing more than glorified CRUD screens – we basically allow users to create, update and delete data.
OdeToData therefore is the place where I will share from my experiences in working with data in various capacities – architecting and implementing its storage, maintaining its integrity, keeping it available and secure, and optimizing / enhancing the user experience.
